The Philadelphia Phillies are back in town on Tuesday to start a six-game homestand against the Cubs and Padres. Although the team is struggling, one consistent thing at Citizens Bank Park is the voice of PA announcer, Dan Baker. Unfortunately, Baker will miss some time due to illness. He did not give a timetable for return in his tweet.
Good afternoon, Phillies fans. Due to a lingering oral/sinus infection that must be addressed, I will, regretfully, have to miss an undetermined amount of games. I plan to return as soon as possible. Thank you, and enjoy the ball games. GO PHILS!

Baker, 72, missed a pair of games earlier this season for the first time since Citizens Bank Park opened in 2004. Baker has missed just 19 games since joining the Phillies in 1972.
During his absence earlier this season, Phillies director of public affairs Scott Palmer filled in on the mic.
